Day 1: A Whirlwind of Miami Magic

Our Miami adventure began as we disembarked the boat at 11 am. The port had market stalls and cute shops. The Miami heat was intense, so we had to start with a cold beer at Black Market Bayside, soaking in the waterfront atmosphere.

Then the Celebrity Mansion Cruise! We got tickets on Groupon for $18 each, and it was worth every penny. For 90 minutes, we cruised past the homes of the rich and famous, getting glimpses into their lavish lifestyles, you got so close you could see through their windows!

After the cruise, we hopped on the free Miami Trolley to Old Havana. The trolley was packed and hot and to be honest I think I would have rather got an uber but at least it was free! Old Havana is a cultural gem, with vibrant street art, live music spilling from every doorway, and the aroma of delicious Cuban food.

We indulged in a classic Cuban Sandwich at Old’s Havana, serenaded by a live band with the coolest decor.

Then, we found ourselves at Cubata Tapas Y Vinos for happy hour, enjoying fantastic cocktails and a free-styling live singer.

We ended the perfect day with a Miami Heat game against the Portland Trailblazers. The stadium’s energy was incredible! We bought tickets on Ticketmaster for around £80 each, the night ended with a walk back to the boat across the MacArthur Bridge, with the city lights twinkling around us. It felt like a magical moment, so we shouted our wishes into the night (the $16 beers may have contributed to this).

Day 2: Art, Tacos, and Ocean Views

Day two took us to Wynwood Walls, a street art paradise, I could have spent the whole day looking at all the amazing graffiti! I fuelled up with an iced coffee and croissant from Panther Coffee. The walls were covered in incredible murals, each a masterpiece.

We fancied something to eat after so we went to Coyo Taco and it was absolutely delicious!

Next, we Ubered to Ocean Beach. The white sand and turquoise waters were even more stunning in person. We strolled along Ocean Drive, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and even saw the freestyle rapper Harry Mack!

We then took a long walk back to the ship, watching the sunset over the Miami skyline! The city’s energy, and beauty have completely won us over. We’re already dreaming of our next visit!
